The Firework Makers Daughter

Lila dreams of becoming a Firework Maker just like her father. In order to become a true firework maker she sets off alone on a perilous journey to reach the volcanos of Mount Merapi. Lila encounters Crocodiles, Mythic Goddesses, Rowdy Pirates and tons of magic in this thrilling adventure for the whole family. Based on the book by Phillip Pullman, author of The Golden Compass series, this gripping story of Lila’s fleet footed heroism will live long in the memory of anyone who enters her world.

Recommended Ages 6 and up.

Join us Tuesday May 10 @ 7pm for the FREE Movie Premiere of ‘The Whisperer.’

This student film created by

our Afterschool Film & TV class showcases the cinematic talents of 17 middle school students. The challenge this Spring was to create an Action Adventure film that was inspired by a popular book series. We chose the ‘Mysterious Benedict Society’ by Trenton Lee Stewart and crafted our own adaptation of the story. We simplified the plot, created our own unique characters, packed it with action, and lots of surprises…”so brush you teeth and kill the germs…poison apples poison worms”.

Come see it for FREE Tuesday May 10 @ 7-8pm.
