Summer of Animals 2012
This Summer students are challenged to write an original play inspired by an Animal. Explore the symbolic
meanings and personality types behind each animal, and get ready to create a work of art that is all your own. Can you guess what all these animals have in common?
TWO AGE GROUPS: 5-8 years / * 9-12 years
Program Cost: $275
TIGER Week (June 4-8) Ages 5-8: The Tiger is strong and brave, with tendencies to run wild and stray far from home. It is said that the Tiger can run a thousand miles in one night.
RABBIT Week (June 11-15) Ages 5-8: The Rabbit is born from the moon. The Rabbit is timid and shy at times but ambitious. It travels the world in search of beauty and is respectful of everyone.
DRAGON Week (June 18-22) *Ages 9-12: The Dragon is Powerful and is known for it strength, virtue and magnanimity. Dragons are energetic and brave but also elusive and secretive.
MONKEY Week (June 25-29) Ages 5-8: The Monkey is highly skillful and adaptable to new situations. Monkeys are inventive have excellent memories and can solve challenging puzzles with great ease.
SHEEP’s ART Week (July 9-13) Ages 6-9: The Sheep is very talented in the creative arts. Sheep are kind hearted and generous and loved by everyone. Their creativity shines through everything they make. This week is an ART CAMP.
HORSE Week (July 16-20) *Ages 9-12: The Horse is strong and hard working. Horses are known for their colorful pageantry and love of social gatherings. They are intelligent, independent, and multi talented.
DOG Week (July 23-27) Ages 5-8: The Dog is full of loyalty and affection. Dogs are trustworthy, smart, and have a passion for fair play. They are popular with people but often shy away from large gatherings.
ROOSTER Week (July 30-Aug 3)*Ages 9-12: The Rooster is full of colorful storytelling and joy. Roosters are very talkative and never shy away from gossip. They are sharp, industrious and very fun to be around. They are also early risers.
General Summer Camp Info
All Camps run Monday through Friday: 10am-3pm
All Final Performances are on Fridays at 2:00pm
All students must bring a Sack Lunch, Comfortable Clothes & Shoes
Our Camp Maximum is 24 students per week w/ two full time instructors
All Campers must be the required age: (5 yrs or 9 yrs) before June 1, 2012
If any week of Camp is Sold Out it will be noted beside the Camp title above.
