What do Campers Learn?

Drama Camp Program Ages 5-8

Our 5-8 year old students play interactive theater games, choose and create original characters, help to write a theme based story, create costumes and scenery, shoot a DVD movie version of their show, and perform their play for the public on Friday afternoon. Our drama programs are designed to help students to work together, improve listening skills, develop confidence on stage, foster storytelling skills, explore their imagination and have lots of fun.

Drama Camp Program 9-12 years

Our 9-12 yr old students concentrate on playwriting and acting techniques with a focus on storytelling and character development. They explore acting through writing scenes and monologues, playing improv games, and collaborating on an original play to be performed on Friday. Students design sets and costumes where necessary and film a DVD version of their show. Their week concludes with a live performance for the public.

What are the Camp Rules?

In order to insure that all of our Campers have a Fun, Happy and Safe week at Camp we have Five Basic Behavior Rules that we Need Everyone to Follow. Please go over these Rules with your Camper before you arrive at camp and make sure that they are able to understand clearly what each one means.

  1. NO RUNNING (never run inside the theater for safety reasons)
  2. RESPECT ALL AROUND (be respectful of all people, places & things)
  3. TRY NEW THINGS (if you’ve never done it before, give it a try)
  4. ALWAYS SAY ‘YES’ (always have a positive attitude)
  5. HAVE FUN (this is our most important rule of all!)

What’s Your Discipline Policy?

It is always our goal to always create a camp setting that is Positive, Exciting, Safe, Creative, Accepting and Non Judgmental. If we discover for whatever reason that a Camper is not able to follow one of our Five Rules we begin a simple “Three Strikes and You’re Out” discipline procedure.

First Strike is a Warning,
Second Strike is a Private Meeting with a Counselor,
Third Strike signals an immediate Phone Call to the parents
to have the Child picked up from Camp within the hour.

If a camper is unable to follow our rules we feel that the camper may not yet be mature enough to handle the camp’s social environment. In receiving Three Strikes, the camper will unfortunately not be admitted back to camp until the following year and no refunds are given.

Why a Medical History Form?

We are experienced in dealing with a wide range of Medical issues, allergies, and behavioral issues with students of all ages. But in order to be fully prepared we must know immediately on the FIRST day of camp that any medical issues exist so that we can take daily precautions to insure the safety of the student. A Medical Form will be sent home with a letter One Week Prior to the First Day of Camp, to be filled out and returned on the First Day at check in. We are happy to accept personal medications, allergy alerts, and help our students in any way that we can.

What’s Your Cancellation Policy?
